St. Wendel is a town located in northeastern Saarland, Germany. It is situated on the river Blies, approximately 36 km northeast of Saarbrücken, which serves as the capital of the state of Saarland.
The town is named after Saint Wendelin of Trier. According to data from the German Association for Housing, Town Planning and Land Use Regulation, St. Wendel is recognized as one of the wealthiest regions in Germany, ranking second only to Starnberg in Bavaria.
