Merchweiler is a municipality located in the district of Neunkirchen within the state of Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximately 10 km west of Neunkirchen and 15 km northeast of the city of Saarbrücken.
The municipality is composed of two distinct parts: the village of Merchweiler and the village of Wemmetsweiler.
