Winnweiler is a municipality located in the Donnersbergkreis district within the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the upper course of the river Alsenz, positioned approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) northeast of the city of Kaiserslautern.
The town serves as the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde Winnweiler. Transportation links include the Winnweiler station, which is located on the Alsenztalbahn railway line connecting Hochspeyer and Bad Münster am Stein.
