Urmitz is a municipality located in the district of Mayen-Koblenz within the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in western Germany.
The area is historically significant for containing one of the largest fortified settlements dating back to the 4th millennium BC. However, this archaeological site has been destroyed by modern construction.
