Treis-Karden is an Ortsgemeinde, or municipality, located in the Cochem-Zell district within the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It serves as a local administrative unit and is currently part of the Verbandsgemeinde Cochem.
Historically, Treis-Karden served as the seat of its own like-named Verbandsgemeinde until July 1, 2014. Today, it is recognized as a state-recognized tourism resort, known locally as a Fremdenverkehrsort.
