Spessart is a Mittelgebirge, which is a range of low wooded mountains located in Germany. It spans across the federal states of Bavaria and Hesse.
The mountain range is bordered by the Vogelsberg, Rhön, and Odenwald. Its highest elevation is reached at Geiersberg, which stands at 586 metres above sea level.
