Rhaunen is an Ortsgemeinde, or municipality, located in the Birkenfeld district within the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It functions as a constituent part of a larger collective municipality known as a Verbandsgemeinde.
The town historically served as the administrative seat for the former Verbandsgemeinde Rhaunen. It remains a recognized local community within its respective district.
