Obernau is a village located in the district of Altenkirchen within the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in western Germany. It historically functioned as an independent municipality before undergoing administrative changes.
Since January 2021, Obernau has been incorporated into the municipality of Neitersen. It remains a recognized locality within this larger administrative structure.
