Kurtscheid is a municipality situated in the district of Neuwied within the northern region of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located inside the natural preserve known as Rhein-Westerwald.
The village sits at an elevation of 401 metres above sea level. Due to this altitude, Kurtscheid holds the distinction of being the highest municipality in the district of Neuwied.
