Kappeln is a town located in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg within the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is situated on the north bank of the Schlei, positioned approximately 30 km northeast of Schleswig and 35 km southeast of Flensburg.
The town serves as a central hub for the eastern Angeln region and the northern Schwansen area.
