Essingen

Essingen is a municipality located in the Ostalbkreis district within the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is situated approximately 73 kilometers east of Stuttgart and lies just outside the city of Aalen.

The town serves as a geographical landmark for the Rems river, which originates just outside Essingen. From this point, the river flows down the Remstal before eventually merging with the Neckar near Stuttgart.
