Contwig is a municipality located in the Südwestpfalz district within the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in western Germany. It serves as part of the Verbandsgemeinde Zweibrücken-Land.
The town has a population of slightly over 5,000 inhabitants. The current mayor of Contwig is Nadine Brinette, who was elected to the position in 2021.
