Andernach

Andernach is a town located in the district of Mayen-Koblenz within the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It has a population of approximately 30,000 inhabitants.

The town is situated on the left bank of the Rhine toward the end of the Neuwied basin. Geographically, it lies between the former fishing village of Fornich to the north and the mouth of the river Nette to the southeast. It is positioned roughly 21 kilometres north of Koblenz.

Andernach includes five external town districts: Kell, Miesenheim, Eich, Namedy, and Bad Tönisstein.
