Roesrath

Germany

Rösrath is a town located in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis district within the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. While historical records dating back to 1356 provide some of the earliest documentation of the settlement, archaeological evidence suggests much older human activity in the region.

The area surrounding the town has yielded findings of both Paleolithic and Mesolithic tools, specifically within the Forsbach locality. Rösrath was officially elevated to town status in 2001.
