Petershagen is a town situated in the Minden-Lübbecke district within the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located along the Westphalian Mill Route and sits on the banks of the Weser river.

The core of the town is comprised of two districts, Petershagen and Lahde, which are positioned opposite one another across the water. The local dialect spoken in the area belongs to the Northern Low Saxon variety of the Low German language, specifically aligning with the Bremer Platt and Southern Oldenburgish varieties.
