Metelen is a municipality situated in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is geographically positioned along the river Vechte within the district of Steinfurt.
The town serves as a transit point via the Metelen Land station, which is located on the Münster–Enschede railway line. This station provides hourly train services connecting travelers to Münster in one direction and Enschede in the other.
