Luebbecke

Lübbecke is a town located in northeast North Rhine-Westphalia, situated in the northern part of Germany. It lies on the northern slopes of the Wiehen Hills (Wiehengebirge) and currently has a population of approximately 26,000 inhabitants.

The town is part of the district of Minden-Lübbecke within the Regierungsbezirk of Detmold in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region. Historically, Lübbecke was first mentioned in records in 775 as hlidbeki and was officially granted town rights in 1279.
