Walsrode is a town located in the district of Heidekreis within the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. It serves as a local administrative center in the region.
In January 2020, the town underwent an expansion when the former municipality of Bomlitz was merged into Walsrode. This merger integrated the surrounding areas into the existing municipal structure.
