Sassenburg is a municipality located in the district of Gifhorn within the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 7 km northeast of the town of Gifhorn and 15 km northwest of Wolfsburg.
The municipality comprises several villages, including Dannenbüttel, Grußendorf, Neudorf-Platendorf, Stüde, Triangel, and Westerbeck. The administrative seat of Sassenburg is located in the village of Westerbeck.
