Sarstedt is a town located in the district of Hildesheim within the German state of Lower Saxony. It has a population of approximately 18,500 inhabitants.
The town is situated roughly 20 km south of Hanover and 10 km north of Hildesheim. It is served by Sarstedt station, which is located on the Hanoverian Southern Railway and provides access via the Hanover S-Bahn.
