Rinteln is a small town located in the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the banks of the Weser river, positioned within the broad valley between the hills of the Weserbergland and the North Lippe Bergland.
The town is located approximately 60 kilometers west of Hanover and about 20 kilometers from Hamelin. Rinteln has a population of roughly 28,500 residents.
