Lehrte

Lehrte is a town located in the district of Hanover within the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 17 km east of the city of Hanover.

Historically, Lehrte served as the most significant railway junction in the former Kingdom of Hanover during the 19th century. As of the 21st century, the town has a population of 43,000 residents.
