Hessisch Oldendorf

Hessisch Oldendorf is a town located in the Hamelin-Pyrmont district of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated along the river Weser and lies approximately 10 km (6 mi) northwest of the city of Hamelin.

The prefix "Hessisch" has been utilized since 1905 to differentiate the town from other locations named Oldendorf. Historically, the town was part of the Landgraviate of Hessen-Kassel from 1640 until 1932.
