Groß Ippener is a municipality located in the district of Oldenburg within the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. The administrative area of the municipality is composed of four distinct sub-municipalities: Groß Ippener, Klein Ippener, Annen, and Ortholz.
The municipality is situated among several neighboring communities. It shares its northern border with the town of Delmenhorst and borders the municipality of Stuhr to the east. To the southeast, it neighbors Kirchseelte, while Dünsen lies to the south. The western boundaries are shared with the municipalities of Prinzhöfte and Harpstedt.
