Friesoythe is a town located in the district of Cloppenburg within the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated along the river Soeste.
The town is positioned approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Cloppenburg and 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Oldenburg.
