Emden

Emden is an independent town and seaport located in Lower Saxony in the north-west of Germany. Situated on the River Ems near the border with the Netherlands, it serves as the primary town within the region of East Frisia.

As of 2022, the city had a total population of 50,535. It is characterized by its geographical position as a maritime hub and its role as a regional center in the East Frisian area.
