Dersum is a municipality located in the Emsland district of Lower Saxony, Germany. It occupies a geographical position situated between the River Ems to the east and the border with the Netherlands to the west.
The town is positioned approximately 17 kilometers northeast of Papenburg and about 24 kilometers north of Haren.
