Bad Bentheim is a town located in the southwestern region of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated within the district of Grafschaft Bentheim on the borders of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Netherlands. The town is positioned approximately 15 km south of Nordhorn and 20 km northeast of Enschede.
The municipality is a state-recognized thermal brine and sulphur spa town, which accounts for its "Bad" (Bath) designation. A notable landmark in the town is the castle Burg Bentheim, which serves as the official emblem of the town.
