Rothenberg is a village located in the Odenwaldkreis district within the state of Hesse, Germany. It historically functioned as an independent municipality before undergoing administrative changes.
As of January 2018, Rothenberg ceased to be an independent entity and became part of the newly formed town of Oberzent.
