Oberursel

Oberursel (Taunus) is a town located in Germany within the Hochtaunuskreis county. It is situated to the northwest of Frankfurt and forms part of the larger Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. The name translates literally to "Upper Ursel," distinguishing it from "Lower Ursel."

The town ranks as the 13th largest municipality in the state of Hesse. A notable historical event occurred in 2011 when Oberursel served as the host site for the 51st Hessentag, which is an annual state festival held in Hesse.
