Münchhausen is a municipality located in Germany on the northern edge of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district. It is situated approximately 20 km (12 mi) north of the city of Marburg.
The municipality covers an area of roughly 41 km² and has maintained its current boundaries since 1974. As of 2020, the population of Münchhausen was 3,286 inhabitants.
