Kronberg im Taunus is a town located in the Hochtaunuskreis district of Hesse, Germany. It forms part of the broader Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. Historically, the town was situated within the Duchy of Nassau until 1866, at which point the entire duchy was absorbed into Prussia.
The town is situated at the foot of the Taunus mountain range and is bordered by forests to the north and southwest. A notable geographical feature of the area is a mineral water spring that rises within the town.
