Königstein im Taunus is a spa town located in the state of Hesse, Germany. It is situated on the densely wooded slopes of the Taunus mountain range and serves as part of the larger Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area.
The town belongs to the Hochtaunuskreis district. It is bordered by several neighboring municipalities, including Kronberg im Taunus, Glashütten, Schwalbach am Taunus, Bad Soden am Taunus, and Kelkheim.
