Groß-Umstadt is a town located in the district of Darmstadt-Dieburg within the state of Hesse, Germany. It is situated in the southeastern portion of the Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region.
The town is positioned near the cities of Darmstadt and Frankfurt. Geographically, it lies just north of the Odenwald mountain range.
