Greifenstein is a municipality located in the Lahn-Dill-Kreis district within the state of Hesse, Germany. The administrative seat of the municipality is Beilstein. It covers an area of 67.43 km2 and is situated on the eastern slope of the Westerwald range.
The town was named after the castle of the same name located in a constituent community of its own name. Greifenstein is also home to the German Bell Museum, which houses approximately fifty bells that illustrate the historical development of bell pouring and manufacture.
