Dietzenbach is a city located in Hesse, Germany. It serves as the seat of the Offenbach district within the Regierungsbezirk of Darmstadt and is situated approximately 12 km southeast of Frankfurt am Main on the Bieber waterstream.
Historically, Dietzenbach was a small farming village with fewer than 4,000 inhabitants prior to the Second World War. The community experienced significant population growth following the war due to the arrival of refugees, and it saw rapid expansion starting in the 1970s, reaching a population of approximately 33,000 by 2006.
The modern demographic of the city is diverse, with nearly one-third of its residents originating from more than a hundred nations outside of Germany. While the area was once primarily agricultural, traditional farming buildings are now rarely seen in the contemporary landscape.
