Wunsiedel is a city located in northeast Bavaria, Germany. It serves as the administrative seat of the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel.
The town is notable as the birthplace of the poet Jean Paul. Historically, it was known for hosting the annual Luisenburg Festival and served as the site of the Rudolf Hess Memorial March until 2005.
