Unterhaching

Unterhaching is a municipality located in the district of Munich in Bavaria, Germany. Situated to the south of Munich's city center, it is known by the literal translation "Lower Haching," distinguishing it from its counterpart, Upper Haching.

The town is highly accessible via two federal motorways, the Bundesautobahn 8 and Bundesautobahn 995. It is also served by the Munich S-Bahn, which provides a connection to Marienplatz in under 20 minutes. Notable local features include the football club SpVgg Unterhaching, which competed in the Bundesliga from 1999 to 2001, and a CO2 neutral district heating network.
