Schwabach is a German city located in the northern part of Bavaria, situated near Nuremberg in the center of the Franconia region. It serves as an autonomous administrative district with a population of approximately 40,000 inhabitants.
The city is one of three metropolitan areas in Bavaria, alongside the neighboring cities of Nuremberg, Fürth, and Erlangen. Additionally, Schwabach is the name of the river that flows through the city before it joins the Rednitz.
