Mistelbach an der Zaya is a town situated in the northeastern region of Lower Austria, which is one of the nine federal states of Austria. It is located approximately 40 km northeast of the national capital, Vienna.
The municipality consists of eight subordinated municipalities. While it serves as a local center in its region, it remains distinct from German geography despite similar naming conventions elsewhere in Europe.
