Marktredwitz is a town located in the district of Wunsiedel within the state of Bavaria, Germany. It is situated near the Czech border, positioned approximately 22 km west of Cheb, 50 km east of Bayreuth, and 50 km south of Hof/Saale.
The town serves as a significant railway junction, with Marktredwitz station connecting the Nuremberg–Cheb railway and the Munich–Hof railway. Additionally, the town hosted the Horticultural Show 2006 in cooperation with the neighboring city of Cheb.
