Lenggries is a village and municipality located in Bavaria, Germany. It serves as the central hub of the Isarwinkel region, which encompasses the area along the Isar river situated between Bad Tölz and Wallgau.
The town has a population of approximately 9,500 inhabitants. By land area, it is recognized as the largest rural municipality in what was formerly West Germany and ranks as the seventh-largest overall in the country.
