Buchenbach

Buchenbach is a municipality located in the southwestern region of the Black Forest in Germany. It is situated within the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

The current municipality is composed of four distinct communities: the main town of Buchenbach and the villages of Falkensteig, Unteribental, and Wagensteig. The administrative structure was established through a series of mergers beginning on December 1, 1971, when Buchenbach and Falkensteig joined. This was followed by the inclusion of Wagensteig on August 1, 1973, and finally Unteribental on January 1, 1975.
