Bad Reichenhall is a spa town and the administrative center of the Berchtesgadener Land district in Upper Bavaria, Germany. It is situated in a basin near Salzburg, surrounded by the Chiemgau Alps.
The town is a member of the Alpine Town of the Year Association, which works to implement the Alpine Convention for sustainable development within the Alpine Arc. Bad Reichenhall was notably awarded the title of Alpine Town of the Year in 2001.
