Ansbach is a city located in the German state of Bavaria. It serves as the capital of the administrative region of Middle Franconia and is situated on the river Fränkische Rezat, which is a tributary of the river Main.
The city is positioned approximately 40 kilometers southwest of Nuremberg and 140 kilometers north of Munich. As of 2020, Ansbach had a population of 41,681 residents.
