Alzenau is a town located in the northern part of the Aschaffenburg district within the Regierungsbezirk of Lower Franconia (Unterfranken) in Bavaria, Germany. It currently has a population of approximately 19,000 residents.
Historically, Alzenau served as the administrative seat for the district of the same name. However, this district was abolished on July 1, 1972.
