Weil am Rhein is a German town and commune located on the east bank of the River Rhine. It serves as a suburb within the Trinational Eurodistrict of Basel, an urban area with a population of approximately 830,000 people.
The town is notable for its geographical position at the tripoint where Germany, Switzerland, and France meet. As the most southwesterly town in Germany, it has a local population of around 30,000 inhabitants.
