Überlingen is a German city located on the northern shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee) in the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is situated near the border with Switzerland and serves as a central point for the surrounding outlying communities.
As of January 1, 1993, Überlingen has been categorized as a large district city. It ranks as the second-largest city in the Bodenseekreis district, following the city of Friedrichshafen.
