Stegen is a municipality located in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated in the valley of the river Dreisam and lies approximately 8 km away from the city of Freiburg.
The municipality comprises three distinct population centers: the town of Stegen and the villages of Eschbach and Wittental.
