Ludwigsburg is a city located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated approximately 12 kilometres north of the Stuttgart city centre and lies near the river Neckar.
As the largest and primary city of the Ludwigsburg district, it has a population of about 94,000 inhabitants. The city is positioned within the Stuttgart Region, which is part of the administrative region of Stuttgart.
